Hi, thanks for visiting. Why the channel? One or two videos a month isn’t going to make me a UA-cam star, I’m here just being creative, sharing my videos and music. No sponsors, I’m not selling anything just trying to have fun.Check out the 'PLAYLISTS' for different video topics.
Hurtling through the black void of space at 1,000 mph (ish), I consider my place and position to it all and... it's negligible, trifling and quite unimportant really, I've checked. So, stepping away from the chaos, over-greedy commerce, oily politicians their lies and expanding bureaucracy, I'm happiest gazing at stars light years away in time and space. Feeling the sun, the wind on my skin, watching the rain. Shout, laugh, love, while you can. This is everything and places world squabbles, power struggles, unbridled egos, greed, lies, corruption and insidious bureaucracy into the ignoble perspective it belongs,,, for a short while..
Like's, Comments, Subs and Suggestions very welcome. Thanks X

I often need to renew a rear tyre when on long tours. I usually get 4-5000 miles from a Pirelli Angel GT depending on roads, surface material, bike loading, weather temperature and how excited my right hand gets. This time while near Andorra with another 2-3 thousand miles still to go it was that time once again, but unusually I found each shop i contacted said it would take a week to order and...
ABOVE LAKE THUN SWITZERLAND #lakethun

Lake Thun Switzerland. The winding, narrow roads high above Lake Thun are well worth exploring. I discovered a fantastic spot with a seated area overlooking the turquoise waters. I was surprised to see two stone fireplaces had been built so people could use to cook on. There was even a ready supply of chopped wood and kindling to use. What a lovely idea and gesture for people to enjoy.

I had a lot of fun making this. Music and creativity really have been a life-long labour of love and passion/obsession for me, from the song-writing and music production to creating images and editing video. Those who know me, know I can't help but be creative and over the years I've had many underground dance tunes published, recorded and released on vinyl as well as engineering and producing ...

I've not visited Devon since family holidays with Mum and Dad as a child. What a treat to revisit it on my motorcycle with an old school friend. Our first stop was Lynton and the Valley of Rocks Hotel for 1 night, which turned into 2 nights. A small single room was very affordable which is rare in this country in my experience. We decided to add an extra night as we liked the town and area, the...

This happens far to frequently, and often with the worst outcome. A tip I never hear from riding Instructors today is to gently weave the bike when approaching such junctions loaded with cars, these being a weaving object is much more noticeable than something approaching in a direct, straight line. It seems to work for me.

I replace my covers about once a year on my KTM 1290 GT (2017) a cheap and easy job that saves wearing out and replacing the OEM grips which can be a lot of money when you have ride by wire electronic throttle. You can cover exhaust pipe with aluminum foil to protect from the oil.
Yes, its true. I usually always wash the bike after so no need for me to, but its a good tip anyway, thanks 👍

Lovely video, beautiful views.

Hey Kev, what bike is that mate don’t suppose you have a part number for that brake switch? It’s the same as my 2024 ktm exc switch which broke but I cannot find a part number for it? Thanks
Best I can do is find an old link to ebay. The part looks the same as mine for my 2017 SDGT, says for a 2019 1290R. Hope that helps. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/276217712132?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338365712&toolid=20006&customid=EB220253727&
Looks like the right part number?www.motorcyclespareparts.eu/en/ktm-parts/61311050000#:~:text=61311050000%2C%20Brake%20Light%20Switch%20Front,in%20the%20part%20drawing%20below.
Thanks Kev you’re a star, appreciate that buddy! Thanks again
It was a pleasure to ride with you!
Cheers Seb, fun times, Thank You for the ride.
"control your f*k trophies" 🤣
😂 No one wants screaming kids. 👍🏻
Another nice little edit, puts mine to shame…
Thanks Wayne. You’ll get there. Probably with your tank bag and knees in the pic🫢😉
@@sebastiaan22lol22 Thank You Seb. Me too, a great few days riding the mountains 👍
Good afternoon! I watch all your episodes. Very informative! I also have a KTM 1290 SD GT. We haven’t encountered a problem; on bumps you can feel a knock on the steering wheel. It’s like the fork is knocking in the guides?!
Hi, I've never encountered that so I'm only guessing when I say it could possibly be something liker a headstock bearing but with out knowing mileage, etc its hard to know, it could even be a loose break pad. Sorry I cant be more helpful. THANK YOU for supporting my little channel. Cheers.
So you hold the up and down for 5 or 5 seconds. Then release and wait a few seconds and the screen appears? I keep holding the buttons and nothing happens. It just flashes and starts over.
Hi, yes. That’s how it works on my 2017 SDGT. First scroll to "settings" then try pressing the up + down button firmly for a bit longer. Ensure the bike is in neutral in case that makes a difference. Hope it works for you.
❤❤😊
nice story-the 190/50 low profile Pirelli is my go to rear tire.
GT 2 is what I prefer to run on the mutly seems to wear better and last longer.
I do like a Pirelli, and for you with an Italian garage it’s obligatory😀
your shock rebound is too fast.
Thanks, well spotted, I guess you can tell because I'm solo and probably forgot to change the "loading" settings? It is something I sometimes forget to change 😅
@@KevKam look 1:54, you will see on the sipes, leading edge rounded, trailing edge have a lip on the edge. I rode most semi active suspensions. if not the max sport settings, the rest are bouncy and soft, so that result is normal if you use road setup. even the most sporty settings can be too soft. considering the age of oil in it, you will get there eventually anyway
Great info, thanks. When having a proper blast I’ll switch to sport mode power and suspension, often I’m just in street mode for both. ‘Comfort' suspension sometimes if I feel lazy, it’s such a versatile setup. But I do sometimes forget to change the loading to solo 😁
Good stuff, just bought a 2019 GT and these tips are great… thanks!
😊Thanks
lol, only talking about this yesterday. Your sense of humour is quite funny.
Thanks Wayne, I can be a sarcastic mthrfkr 😇
My 07 SD 990 appears to have 4 separate pads for each side, the one on the right is crudded right up. I was wondering if I could just disassemble the brake itself using the two or three bolts that hold it together to clean it out thoroughly.
I just looked at pix of the 990, I see what you mean. Have a go at one side. The principle does look the same 👍
hypnotrance?🤩
Thank You. I’ll take that👍
Any difference between that and a 990 2007 SD?
It’s a good question that I can’t answer, sorry. Mines a 2017 SD .
Cool tune-Lovin it,
Thank You 😃
Wonderful. Xx

How’d you play guitar with your gloves on?? Very clever though
Thanks. Ha Ha, You'l notice I also forgot to plug it in 😁
@@KevKamdevils in the detail. Still good though bud.
Thanks Wayne 😁@@WaynesWheels
Those drain plug were really overtorqued when you removed them 😕 No thread lock on these fasteners
Yes, rarely do I find bolts at the correct torque. Can’t go wrong with a dab of medium thread lock on worn bolts😁
Great video but you do NOT and should not use threadlocker on any of those bolts. It is not required in the procedures in the owners manual. Just use a torque wrench and you are off to the races.
Thanks 👍 i often like to use use medium thread lock regardless of the manual, as I find bolt threads do wear over time and it’s added security and peace of mind. I guess new bolts would also be an option as the thread wears over time, but then again it’s the aluminium thread in the casing that wears most I think?
Hi there just come across this video, just wondering how's your GT been for reliability? Thinking of getting a 23 model. Thanks Mike
Hi, great question. Nearly 40,000 miles mainly European touring and nothing serious other than a couple of generic technical recalls and the maintenance I’ve listed in the mechanics playlist, so I’d say very reliable. Mines a 2017 GT.
@@KevKam thanks for the reply, that great about the reliability for you. I asked the question just I've read a mixed bag of owners experiences on forums, youtube comment sections, some saying they had nothing but problems and some had great experiences with the superduke GT. Again thanks for the reply
Great video. I’m not technically minded but after watching this decided to give it a go and it went perfectly. Thank you!
Thank You. I do what my limited skills allow, and if I can help bikers save hard earned cash by little vids, all the better👍
Mine had a leak under the tank, it should not consume coolant. Fixed under warranty
Yes, not sure where it goes but it does disappear a little over time. Cool yours was sorted for free👍
My maan!!!👌
Awesome video!!
Thank You😎
very nice route
Yes, well worth the visit, I’d return. I’m lucky I have friends there.
Hi there, I got a 2019 CB1000r and want to remove rear axle in order to get caliper bracket out (the silver colored aluminum piece that looks like an axe) so I can get it powder coated. I thought by removing the middle large bolt with a 19mm hex bit would do it but I am stuck ! Do you have an idea ?
Hi, sounds like a nice mod for the CB. Sorry I’ve never done that job, wish I had better advice for you. Cheers.
No worries 😉 thanks for this cool video. Yep 👍 trying to get some parts powder coated cause looks like it has many aluminum parts that are not well finished 😉

Brilliant, love the music👍🏍️
Thank you.
Love to pinch some of your music one day👌
Kev, just got back...amazing roads !
Nice, I need to return.
Hey. Whats the nm for the front axle nut?
Hi, all the nm etc should be in the description of the video. 👍 Top of my head,,, I think it's 45nm.
I put aluminum foil over the exhaust pipe on the rear oil drain plug.
It’s a god tip 👍others do that too. I’ll always give my bike a good clean after oil change so not too fussed about oil on the pipe.
Great, thanks mate!
Does not it harm chain, engine and transmission?
No. The wheels are designed to be removed.
This is why I never ride without camera on. Too many idiots on the road
Absolutely, we can’t take anything from granted, more cars and they’re all on a hurry.
I’m still working through last years vids, I lost many but all recovered now and slowly doing them. I hope your well.
Brilliant video as is the front, made it so much easier

Great job done by yourself . Thanks 😊😊😊😊😊
Thank You for the comment.
Best how-to video, thank you!
Appreciate the comment. 👍 I miss my CB1000R Great bike
A perfect video Kev, you answered all my questions, confirmed all my suspicions and delighted me how easy it is to remove a wheel on my first single sided swing arm bike. I won't be buying the KTM special socket at £ 37.00. Many thanks
Thank You.
The main reason you'd want to is because the special socket is much flatter and is much less likely to cam off than a standard 60mm, if that standard 60 cams off, say goodbye to taking your rear wheel off again. Besides, good luck trying to find a 60mm socket for less than 37 quid...
That's the best entrance I've ever seen ......
Well, that gives us a good overview of what was on display! Bigger show than last year it was too! Great work👍🏼
Thanks Bruno. It was a fun day, some great roads too.
